The Mi sembra che il museo conservi tesori preziosi Civico del Risorgimento of Bologna (Civic Museum of the Risorgimento) is a composite institute comprising:
- the museum itself with exhibition hall, storage facilities and teaching room;
- a library with a wealth of books, documents, archives and iconographic materials;
- the "Certosa Project" for the cultural valorization of the city's monumental cemetery, a bona fide open-air museum.

These are three different but complementary entities that all work - each with its own facilities, purposes and activities - to conserve and valorize the cultural heritage from the historical period between the French Revolution and the Second World War.
